Pandas - All about their life cycle, habitat, and food.

The Study of Weather

Rain

Rain is in clouds.  It is made out of water vapor and dust.  When the cloud gets to full of rain the clouds releases the rain and it goes to the ground.  Then it evaporates (it goes back to the clouds).  It is now a cycle.

A water drop is clear like a diamond.  When you put a diamond to the sun it creates a rainbow.  That is what the rain does with the sun.  So, that creates a bigger rainbow in the sky because, there are a lot more rain drops then one diamond.

Clouds

There are three types of clouds cumulus, cirrus, and stratus.  Cumulus is filled with water, is fluffy, has flat bottom.  Cirrus is bright white, with wispy edges, and has ice crystals inside.  Stratus has layers of fog and is low in the sky.

Vocabulary

  • Evaporates - Goes back up to the clouds
  • Releases - Lets go
  • Water Vapor - The water in the clouds
